Implants get harder, not easier, the longer a gap is left. Here is what the people who finally book usually tell us.
Waiting changes the case.
Once a tooth is missing the bone underneath starts to recede. What is a simple case today can become a grafting case in twelve months. The diagnostic appointment tells us where you stand now.
Sedation if you want it.
Oral sedation tablet an hour before the appointment is included at no charge. IV sedation with an anaesthetist is available as an extra option. You stay in control of how relaxed you want to be.
Overseas is rarely cheaper.
A $12,000 trip to Bali that ends in revision work usually finishes at $18,000 once you fly back, and Australian practices are not obliged to fix work done overseas. We have seen it more times than we would like.

Recovery and risk
Honest information about what to expect.
Every dental procedure carries risk. Most implant patients return to normal eating within a week and the area is fully healed at three to six months. Some swelling and tenderness in the first few days is normal. Less common risks include infection, sinus involvement on upper-jaw cases, and nerve sensitivity on lower-jaw cases. Your dentist will go through the risks that apply to your specific case at the consult.
